NextGenVest Snapchat Is a Go-To Channel For Financial Advice For Millennial Students

If it comes as a surprise to you that Americans owe $1.3 trillion in student loan debt, you might be even more surprised that $2.9 billion in students grants goes unclaimed because of the complex financial aid process. Moreover, financial anxiety is one of the top reasons for 30% of the students to drop out from college. Seeking to help students and equip them with financial knowledge, Kelly Peeler launched NextGenVest, a team of educators and students with over 200 Money Mentors nationwide.

NextGenVest started helping students reduce student loan burdens by partnering them with a mentor over text message and quickly added Snapchat as its key channel.

NextGenVest launched the Snapchat channel in 2016 targeting high school and college students. It quickly became the cheapest way for one to go on a college tour as students from colleges all over the country started doing NextGenVest Snapchat takeovers.


According to Kelly Peeler, NextGenVest Founder and COO, “over 30% of students can’t afford to visit a college campus, a snapchat tour is the cheapest option”. Now that a new college student gives a tour of their own campus on NextGenVest Snapchat every day, viewers can snap the host and get their questions answered.
Following its Snapchat success, the brand will continue using Snapchat as a way to engage and answer student questions about financial aid, student loans, and the cost of college.
