This Artist Turned Snapchat Nudes Into An Art Exhibition

Just when you think that Snapchat is much more than a place for sexting, this artist turned Snapchat nudes into an art exhibition, shocked New York's TriBeCa neighborhood, shook up the NYC art scene and made some money in the process. Matty Mo, aka The Most Famous Artist, is a Los Angeles-based artist that "makes art for the internet". Featured by Elite Daily, a news and entertainment website for millennials, he shared a story that inspired him to create this art project.

"It was my birthday and I sent out a message on Instagram saying that it's my birthday and I want to make you famous so send me nudes." Having received over 500 nudes in 24 hours and after some much needed recovery time from the "shocking" stuff he saw, The Most Famous Artist selected 42 shots to then become his art project.

Matty Mo showcased his newly formed Snapchat nudes art collection in a gallery by the Wall Street in NYC, during the week when Snap Inc. debuted its IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. The art pieces were available for purchase at $200 for small, $600 for medium and $1,800 for a large print.

"Because of human nature we turn Snapchat into what it became", said The Most Famous Artist in Elite Daily video. Not going into a lot of detail whether he thinks that using other people's nudes in his art project and selling these is a legal thing to do or not, Matty points out that Snapchat makes money when users use the app, whether they send nudes or not.
